REFLECTION QUESTIONS

Brittany Packnett describes an image of Septima Clark that, as a young girl, defined confidence for her. Is there someone who portrays confidence to you? What is it about that person that makes you feel that way?

When you view yourself or others view you, do they see a person who exudes confidence? Why or why not?

Brittany says that society underestimates the importance of confidence - that it is a must-have, not a nice to have. Do you agree? Why or why not?

Brittany’s recipe for building confidence are; permission, community, and curiosity. Can you identify those existing in your own life?

Do you believe you have permission to be confident? To take risks? Who can you identify in your personal or professional life that can help you create the space to build your confidence?

Does your professional community foster your confidence?  Do you foster the confidence of others?
